Description
An older video of NJT commuters along the North Jersey Coast Line.
Interesting notes in the video:
-Comet III cars stored in Bay Head yard (Although partially seen in the video, 46 comet III cars from NJT sat in storage in Bay Head yard since 2008 after their retirement that year, being replaced by the newer multilevel cars overtime. (2008 - 2010) They were damaged once super storm Sandy ravaged NJ. They sat around Bay Head yard for 14 years before being sold for scrap in 2022. 46 out of 49 cars were slated in Neptune Yard near Bradley Beach station. Most recently, one more comet III car (#5522), the only comet III car left on NJT property, was taken into Bay Head yard after sitting in the MMC since it’s retirement. It is highly likely it will meet the scrapper’s torch sometime in the future. The other two comet III cars are on Metro-North and are still in service.)
-NJT #4514 (ALP-45DP - Shown before receiving an K5LLB somewhere around 2022.)
-Botchy camerawork (The usual with older videos.)
0:00 - 7:33 (Filmed - 12/1/18) Bay Head
7:34 - 12:59 (Filmed - 12/26/18) Point Pleasant
Enjoy!
