Rabies vaccine schedule
Need to take 5 doses of rabies vaccine when rabid animal bites
day 0
day 3
day 7
day 14
day 28
for example, if rabid animal bites on 31st December. Than doses will be as below
day 0 = 31st dec on same day of bite
day 3 = 3rd day is 3rd january
day 7 = 7th January
day 14 = 14th January
day 28 = 28th January
Rabies immunoglobulin is also given when there are multiple bites or bite on upper extremity.
