#Protests continue in #Paris, France 🇫🇷 as National Assembly holds debate on pension reforms
Live from Paris, as #FrenchUnions call for a #strike and a march through the French capital towards the #NationalAssembly to demonstrate against French President #EmmanuelMacron’s proposed #pensionplan that will be discussed inside the hemicycle.
The #reforms are an attempt to overhaul France's #pensionsystem into a universal scheme that will see pay-outs calculated from whole careers rather than the current last five years of activity.
The #pensionage will also be increased from 62 to 64. The #nationwidestrike, which started in early December, is one of the biggest to hit the country in years.
