The roll-on suction silicone liner is removed from the residual limb by first pushing the shuttle lock pin along the side of the prosthesis, sliding the liner out of the socket and rolling it off the skin. The silicone liner is held against the skin through tension and suction. The soft silicone reduces skin irritation and eliminates motion between the socket and the skin. The bottom pad also adds an extra layer of protection against skin irritation and overall unneeded motion.
