NATE HAS APRIL 27,28,29,30 AND MAY 1,4,5,6 AVAILABLE AND GAVIN HAS MAY 1,13,19,20!
Despite a blizzard, an ice-storm and record-breaking rainfall over the past month, rivers are dropping and some of our local small streams are loaded with hungry smallmouth. Some of these waters offer shots at our lake-run fish, while others harbor resident smallmouth with shots at some truly large brown and rainbow trout. This is pre-pre-spawn, a first crack at these fish as water temps rise and appetites grow. Flexibility is key this time of the year, as locations, tactics and weather can change at any time. Our guides have been on the water, fine tuning the details so that all you have to do is show up and fish!
Baitfish patterns and even frog-divers do the majority of the heavy lifting this time of the year, but it can be advantageous to explore all levels of the water column. Give the shop a call today if you want to experience this brief, but very productive, time of our season. Trips may be run in a drift boat, a raft or a jet boat, depending on the river we’re on and the water levels. Full and half day options are available. After the weather we’ve had this year, I think we’re all ready for some time on the water. Call the shop at 920-336-4106 to get in on the action.
