The Pompadour. A style that has many artists try their take on what it’s supposed to look like.
In men’s grooming we’ve adopted this style into many ways. With strong holding gels, thicker pomades, tons of hair spray and back in the day some would even go as far as egg whites to try and accomplish the stiffest look on their heads!
Every generation of Barbers, Stylists and people around the world will always take their approach to the Pompadour.
Have we mastered it yet? Who knows...
The art in the craft of creating such a look is left to the craftsmen and the viewer.
During this summer pandemic I was fortunate to take over the empty show room that we so often use as a classroom for education at the JohnnyB Office.
I was given an opportunity to create when (at this time) I’m forced to close my shop because of the uncertainty this pandemic has caused.
I talk a lot in my videos trying to get information out. I gathered footage from this day to create and share the moment I so enjoyed having with the team at JohnnyB HQ.
