Founded in 2012 in Sabaki, Mavoko County, Jumbo Quality Products Ltd established POATANK as its flagship water storage brand, beginning with rotomoulded cylindrical tanks. As demand grew, the range expanded to include rectangular loft tanks, underground and septic tanks, along with customized industrial solutions. With new factories established in Ahero and Kampala, Uganda, the workforce today exceeds 246 employees.
POATANK manufactures rotomoulded water storage tanks using advanced rotational moulding technology, ensuring uniform thickness, superior strength and durability. Manufactured from virgin, food-grade materials, each UV-stabilized TRIPLE-LAYER tank is engineered as one seamless piece — reducing seam-line risks associated with extrusion blow moulding. With a 10-year warranty and engineered for an expected lifespan of over 30 years, POATANK cylindrical water storage tanks provide long-term confidence.
The diversity of POATANK's products helps address water shortages through practical solutions such as rainwater harvesting, while supporting efficient water storage and management. Designed for reliability and everyday use, POATANK has become the go-to brand for trusted and consistent water storage across the Country.
As demand expanded, so did the product portfolio. Today, the company manufactures Barbed Wire, Chainlink, PVC Pipes, PPR Pipes and HDPE Pipes, serving both individual and industrial customers across Kenya. In addition, the company trades in hardware items such as Galvanised Wire, Wire Nails, Roofing Nails, 0.5 HP Water Pumps and PVC Hose Pipes, further strengthening its position in the manufacturing and hardware sector.
POATANK products are available through leading hardware stores and partner financial institutions, including banks and SACCOs nationwide. With an efficient in-house fleet, free delivery to major towns is ensured within 24 to 48 working hours. To strengthen regional access, the company has established depots in Mombasa and Nyeri, enabling faster and more reliable service across the country.
