Description
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered a pointed message to Russia over its attacks on Ukraine, arguing that Russian athletes should not be allowed to compete in international junior hockey while the war continues.
'You cannot bomb Ukrainian cities and then send your junior players to Alberta to play hockey as if you were civilised people,' Carney declared. He also rejected participation by Russian and Belarusian teams at the World Junior Championship, insisting they should not compete under their national flags or alternative flags.
What do you make of Carney's position on Russian and Belarusian participation in international hockey?
