Members of the legendary Lake Quintet male lion coalition possess the size, mane development, and coalition strength to hold their own against massive wildlife like rhinos and buffalo in the Ngorongoro Crater. Known for their large physical stature, long dark manes, and unusual longevity, these five massive males dominate the caldera's floor.
