This is a classic 1/35 scale armor kit, the original Tamiya Leopard 1. When this groundbreaking kit was first released in 1969 the real German Leopard 1 tank was cutting-edge, on the front lines defending Europe from the USSR. Fifty years later the Bolsheviks are gone and original Leopard 1 tanks are museum pieces - so just how well does Tamiya's ancient model kit version hold up in 2020?
(Hint - I'm an unashamed fan of old Tamiya kits, but this return to old-school modelling is *gruelling* even for me...)
