Description

As South Africa continues to observe Mandela Month, many organisations are translating Madiba's legacy of service into practical action aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable communities.

One such initiative is the National House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders' Winter Warmth Outreach Programme, which, in partnership with the Al-Imdaad Foundation, is providing blankets, dignity packs and other essential items to vulnerable households in traditional communities across four provinces.

The programme reflects a broader commitment by traditional leaders to promote community wellbeing, strengthen social solidarity and ensure that Mandela Month is remembered not only through reflection, but through meaningful action.

To unpack the significance of this initiative and the role of traditional leadership in community development, we're joined by the Chairperson of the National House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders, Kgosi Thabo Seatlholo.
