Crafting a Custom Wenge Sunburst Dining Table | Behind the Scenes of Fine Furniture Making.
I designed this table for a client who wanted a large eight seater bold dining table but wanted the functionality of being able to move it around. I made the legs removable so you are able to move through doorways and take it up and down stairs. The table has tapered legs, a 60-segment sunburst tabletop, an inlaid globe in the centre and beautiful inlay banding wrapping around the whole table. This is a step-by-step narrated build video and I take you through all the processes from veneering with a vacuum bag, domino joinery, inlay making, sunburst veneering, trim banding making and finishing.
