In this video I show how I made a stand for my Jet 1014 Midi Lathe. I used 1 full sheet of 3/4” MDF because it is cheap and very heavy. The weight of this stand is heavier than the cheap stamped sheet metal stand I had with this lathe when I purchased it 7 years ago. I made this after my switch died and I up graded the motor and switch with a variable speed control from Penn State Industries.
