Looking back, there’s too many instances where I cared way too much what people were thinking or imagined that there was some master ledger keeping tabs on my every move. As someone who’s been posting content online for the past 10 years, it’s easy to get wrapped up in people’s expectations, judgements and perceptions. Building this old boat is a prime example of us just chasing our own dreams and aspirations rather than worrying about what others think. At this stage in life we are fortunate enough to say we could go buy a bigger house, I could be driving a super car, or chasing attention on YouTube by building yet another 4x4 truck. But instead we thought about what we would do if no one was watching, and we chose this new and exciting experience instead.
