Lioness was only trying to introduce her cubs to the father

Description

Aggression during lion mating is highly intense and serves several purposes. Male lions fiercely fight intruding males to death over mating territories and pride dominance. Internally, males bite the female's neck to restrain her, while females commonly growl, swat, or bite males during the process.
