Local resident Mushfick Hartley has expressed strong satisfaction with the election outcome following news that the Democratic Alliance (DA) secured the lion's share of the vote across Saldanha Bay Municipality. Although the DA did not secure an outright majority, Hartley congratulated the party and welcomed the continued blue presence.
As vote counting finalizes across the Saldanha Bay Municipality, Belinda Julies remains optimistic about her party's prospects. However, a 23 year-old Henkie Van Staden who resides in Reitz, Free State says he chose not to vote because he sees no changes in the public healthcare nor are there employment opportunities for the youth.
