Observation du comportement des Manchots du Cap - Oiseaux originaires du Sud de l'Afrique -
Cet oiseau vit le long des côtes suivantes : Afrique du Sud, Angola, Congo, Gabon, Mozambique, Namibie et République démocratique du Congo.
À la fin du XIXe siècle, il y avait 1,5 à 2 millions manchots du Cap, la population est tombée à 500 000 oiseaux en 2000, et ne compte plus que 55 000 oiseaux en 2010 (5 000 couples en Namibie et 21 000 couples en Afrique du Sud en 2023).
Il ne reste plus que 2 à 3 % de la population d'origine et, en 10 ans, (de 2000 à 2010) la population des manchots du Cap a perdu 90 % de ses effectifs.

Observation of the behaviour of Cape Penguins - birds from southern Africa -
This bird lives along the coasts of South Africa, Angola, Congo, Gabon, Mozambique, Namibia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
By the end of the 19th century, there were 1.5 to 2 million Cape penguins; the population dropped to 500,000 birds in 2000, and only 55,000 birds in 2010 (5,000 pairs in Namibia and 21,000 pairs in South Africa in 2023).
Only 2-3% of the original population remains and, in 10 years (2000 to 2010), the Cape penguin population has lost 90% of its population.
