After nearly 20 years, I have decided to leave Jazz due to repeated issues with unwanted subscriptions, automatic package activations, and unexplained balance deductions.
Recently, Webdoc Insurance was activated on my number without my knowledge, and charges were deducted from my balance. After I unsubscribed, the service was activated again a few days later. When I contacted Jazz, I was told to contact Webdoc. When I contacted Webdoc, I was told the activation was linked to the network. As a customer, I was left without a clear answer.
This is not just my experience. Many users across Pakistan have reported balance deductions, auto-renewed packages, and value-added services they claim they never requested. Telecom complaints have been reported against major operators including Jazz, Zong, Ufone, and Telenor over the years, while consumers continue to demand greater transparency and protection.
We also question the role of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Pakistan's telecom regulator, which is responsible for protecting consumer rights and overseeing mobile operators. PTA has previously acknowledged complaints regarding unauthorized value-added services and instructed operators to obtain user consent before activation.
This video shares a personal experience and raises awareness about consumer rights, telecom billing practices, unwanted subscriptions, and accountability within Pakistan's telecom sector.
