Description
The annual Ghusl Al-Kaaba (washing of the Holy Kaaba) was held on 30 June 2026 (15 Muharram 1448 AH) after Fajr prayer at Masjid Al-Haram, Makkah. On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the ceremony was led by Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region. Diplomats, representatives of the OIC, Islamic scholars, and invited guests attended this blessed occasion.
According to official information, the interior of the Holy Kaaba was washed using a specially prepared mixture consisting of 15 liters of Zamzam water, 15 liters of Taif rose water, 15 liters of rose oil, and 100 milliliters of premium oud oil, followed by perfuming the Kaaba with fine fragrances as part of the annual tradition.
