What is Kings Without Kingdoms?
An orchestral concept album created with composer and cellist Rob Lewis, Kings Without Kingdoms follows the journey of Kaira — a tribal teenage warrior — through a grounded, post-apocalyptic world where modern civilisation has long since decayed into myth.
Each track is a scene in an imagined film, capturing moments of survival, discovery, and awe in a land reclaimed by nature. The sound is cinematic and richly textured, with worldbuilding inspired by ancient ruins, faded legends, and the ghostly traces of technology that no one remembers how to use.
Most of what you hear is the human voice and the cello morphed by live production tech into binaural immersive audio.
