Yo, hope you’re good. Big day for me. I’ve been working on BÄPP for a while now. It’s been pretty all consuming, but i’m really proud of it. I wanted to craft something truly useful, fun to use and built to the high standards I would want from a device that I intend to rely on in my workflow.
I’ve been super busy, experimenting, building, tweaking, optimising, organising, building out the website, TermiteAudio.com .. writing the documentation… and it’s ALL finally ready.
So what is BÄPP and why did i make it?
BÄPP came out of a need to make any kind of snare sound, for any genre, easily, from one device, without needing to swap out presets that you can’t blend between, and without using third party samples that you have to shop for and layer up.
By hitting the randomise button, BÄPP is capable of emulating the kind of experience you get browsing through samples, but when you land on something you like you can quickly tweak it into something you love.
When you like how a particular section sounds, you can lock it off from randomisation and keep randomising till you fund something that inspires you, all the while, saving your preset ing the way for later recall. And if you can’t decide which sound you like the best, you can morph between them to find a sound that exists somewhere between the two. You can also midi control the morph parameter and blend between 24 user-definable presets in real time, live.
