I had the great pleasure of helping to produce, perform and judge the Mexican beatbox Championships this year. It was the first battle they had in 4 years. The Mexican community is so talented and passionate and it was killing me that they were not being represented in the world stage. 3 countries came together to assure this would happen and it did! Special thanks to Beatbox Mexico, Phono Musica, Distrito Global, Lyrix Organix and American Beatbox for making it happen.

Kaila Mullady is a New York based performer – The 2015 World Beatbox Champion, 2014 America Vice Beatbox Champion, 3x Loop station champion and 3x, reigning Beatrhyme Champion. Kaila performs all over NYC and the country infusing beatboxing, singing, rapping, poetry and theater to push the boundaries of creativity and show just what the human instrument is capable of. Multi-instrumentalist, using a RC 300 she is able to loop guitar, beatboxing and vocals to become a one woman band. Part of NYC’s premier freestyle comedy rap group North Coast, incorporating improv comedy and hip hop. Teaching workshops all across the country promoting reading, writing and finding your own soul music. Giving back to communities and volunteering is a big part of Kaila’s creative process
