During our time here on Palawan, doing volunteer work, I have had many opportunities. One of which has been to be involved, to some level, with aviation. A little helicopter flying and now getting to observe a little fixed-wing operation.
This landing zone was new to the pilot and had only landed there once before today. After the initial landing, I hopped out, and he did multiple landings, becoming more proficient and comfortable with the site.
I had just told him the previous day that it was a great place to land a helicopter, but not an airplane. Little did I know that I would be joining him the next day on this flight.
