Wow what a match! Max Leograndis’s inaugural Cobalt Kinetics Practical 2Gun Championship is in the books! I finished 2nd Lady in PCC Division (PCC & iron sight pistol), & 4th Lady overall. Congrats to Justine Williams for winning 1st Lady & the ENTIRE PCC Division!
Max & staff did a world class job of creating a challenging & brilliant lower round count match in this current period of ammo shortage. With the new “Kilo” target Max designed, there are the typical A, C, & D scoring zones, requiring 2 hits on paper, OR put one shot (10 points) in the “Kilo” head box. The white side is rifle paper, the brown side is pistol paper. Red targets are no-shoots, blue steel is pistol only. There’s always a learning curve with new targets/rules and it added another layer of cognitive rehearsal to the match, which was already a handful with lots of precision pistol targets..... and the breath of God blowing everyone’s socks off! 😂
I used my @tarantactical Sig MPX which you might notice looks a little different! I’m using TTI’s new slim handguard which is lighter & easier to drive than the stock Sig one.
And I used my @Beretta_usa 92X Performance pistol which ran like a champ! The Utah moon dust was causing malfunctions everywhere but my 92X ran flawlessly!
