Ignorant jaywalkers causing dangerous situations by not paying attention and not using proper crossing methods. Bommanahalli, Bengaluru is one of Bangalore's most crowded places and this makes it important to take proper crossing facilities such as a crosswalk or in this case, an underpass crossing which was less than 50 meters from where the accident happened. If you watch the second clip carefully, you can see most people aren't even watching out for traffic and are just following the group thinking they are safe. They are safe because of the pickup truck that slammed on the brakes causing it to get rear-ended by multiple vehicles. Most people here are busy getting to work, the last thing they care about is safety. If you don't care about your safety, please think about others. Sure you can argue the motorists were tailgating and they wouldn't have crashed if going at a safe distance. But in a crowded city like this, it is almost impossible to do so. All these incidents happened within a timeline of 30 days and this just shows how dangerous jaywalking can be.
