It's 2019, there's no pandemic, people can gather around, but I don't like people so me and my friend Arun, went someplace where there aren't many, life is GOOD...

We started the journey from Ernakulam around sometime late morning. It was the month of September so it was raining almost all the time which surprisingly was the best part of the trip, in a good way. We never got to explore in Valparai because once we reached the hotel we were staying at, it was already dusk and we both were exhausted from the ride... and not because I only had my wet riding boots with me and forgot to bring my footwear... :-|

Even though we didn't explore much in Valparai, this trip was all about the ride. 90% of the ride was through broken forest roads and it was raining almost all the time. It was one of the worst roads I've ridden on a trip but the sheer calmness of the place was something to experience by oneself. The place was beautiful with a couple of waterfalls on the way, dead silent forests, narrow broken roads, and a lot of elephant dungs on the road making it a little scary too, and did I mention the broken roads? It was cold, it was raining, there was no one around you, it was a perfect 'getting lost' location for all the bikers. I would 100% do a revisit once this pandemic is over.

Just a shame somehow I lost my audio files on the trip. I was planning a raw video on this ride. Maybe next time hopefully. Hope you enjoy it!
