Oswego Lake is open, and it’s gonna stay that way. The city council of Lake Oswego has voted not to appeal the decision made a couple weeks ago to remove all barriers and signs, and going forward, if you wanna get out there, get out there. Be advised, you might not feel 100% welcome right away, but you are all good.
The folks who don’t want mail-in voting in Oregon are getting serious about that. They’re gonna have a hearing this coming Monday to discuss going back to in-person voting in our state, something we haven’t done since 1998. Funny though, they’re allowing you submit testimony for the hearing… remotely.
And finally, the folks who want Major League baseball in Portland are serious as well; a bill is headed to the Oregon Senate that might just pass to get this stadium paid for by taxing the eventual players that play there. This project is much further than the mail-in voting thing, they’re actually voting on this. Baseball in Portland actually has a shot at happening.
