Description
After one of the most frustrating weeks I'd had in a long time (I even told AI to f off! 😂), I headed out into 30°C heat hoping a day of metal detecting would clear my mind.
I wasn't expecting much, but sometimes the best days aren't measured by what you find...
In this adventure you'll see:
A beautiful golden elephant button with one very unusual detail.
An incredible Bronze Age axehead that completely inspired me.
Why very dry ground makes metal detecting more difficult.
Moo tubes, "not rocks" and the honest reality of detecting.
Beautiful countryside, interesting people and a much-needed peaceful day outdoors.
Metal detecting isn't always about finding gold, silver or filling your finds pouch. Sometimes it's about escaping the stresses of everyday life, enjoying the scenery, chatting with lovely people and returning home feeling better than when you arrived. Anything you find is a bonus.
If you enjoy honest UK metal detecting adventures, history, useful detecting knowledge and a few laughs along the way, I'd love you to subscribe.
❤️ Thank you so much for watching and supporting Digger Dawn. I'm getting very close to 30,000 subscribers—a number I once thought I'd never reach.
I'd love to know...
What keeps you coming back to metal detecting?
Is it the history, the finds, the countryside... or simply the adventure?
