Six weeks deep into a manic episode, and yeah, the title isn't a joke' – this is a manic rant. My meds feel like they're hanging by a thread, that "time bomb is ticking," and this is the unfiltered truth about navigating it. If you've ever wondered what's really going on behind the scenes, or what living with bipolar disorder can look like, this is part of it.
Been a minute since I uploaded consistently, and I gotta be real. Juggling a 9-to-5, trying to make art, and managing bipolar disorder is a wild ride, especially when your brain chemistry decides to go haywire. In this one, I'm talking candidly about my current manic episode, the real deal with my antipsychotics and their medication side effects (shout out to oversleeping and being late for work), and that constant feeling like I'm just... off.
Maybe it's the mania but I'm also switching things up on the channel, embracing this "valley" as a time to recalibrate, and my commitment to showing up 100% as myself – flaws, tangents, and all. No more tryna be just the "music producer guy" if that isn't the full picture. This channel is ME, Lorenzo, figuring stuff out, sharing what I'm passionate about, and sometimes that means you get the raw, unedited thoughts of someone coping with mania symptoms and trying to find that dopamine. Is it "very bipolar of me"? Probably. But it's real, and it's part of my effort towards bipolar awareness and mental wellness.
If you're a creative, a musician, anyone out there struggling with your own mental health, or if you're just part of the LXGEND community and wanna know what's up, I hope this resonates. This is for anyone who understands that creator life isn't always highlight reels and perfectly curated content, especially when you're trying to find your authentic voice online. What's your experience when your meds stop working or dealing with the challenges of being authentic online? Drop your thoughts in the comments – let's talk. Your support means everything, for real. This is the truth about my mental health right now.
Thanks for sticking around, even when I'm not as consistent as I wanna be. Mad love for y'all.
