Description
Welcome back to Teranga Chronicles! In Episode 2, we dive deeper into the vibrant energy of Dakar, Senegal, for two massive experiences. 🇸🇳✨
First, I had to do it: I went on a quest for the ultimate local food experience and tried Senegal’s beloved national dish, THIÉBOUDIENNE (Chebu Jën). I join locals at a bustling street side spot in Dakar to taste this iconic fish and rice masterpiece. Is it truly the best dish in West Africa? 😋 (You HAVE to see my reaction!)
But the adventure didn't stop there. In the afternoon, we headed to the highest point in the city to face a challenge: climbing the 200+ steps to the base of the monumental AFRICAN RENAISSANCE MONUMENT. Standing taller than the Statue of Liberty, this massive bronze structure is a sight to behold. We capture the panoramic views of the Dakar coastline and share the story behind this incredible (and controversial) feat of engineering.
