I pulled up to Piedmont Park for Atlanta’s massive World Cup Final Watch Party as Spain faced Argentina. What started with me preparing to make my way into the celebration turned into another unforgettable moment in Atlanta history.
Ludacris hit the stage and surprised the city by bringing out Jeezy. When Jeezy performed “Put On,” the message touched home for me.
That is exactly why I go so hard.
I put on for Atlanta by showing up, documenting the people, capturing the culture and making sure the world gets to see our city the way it deserves to be seen. I don’t just talk about loving Atlanta—I put in the work to preserve its history through my camera.
The celebration continued with Ludacris performing “Welcome to Atlanta,” reminding everybody why this city remains one of the world’s most influential cultural destinations.
Pastor Troy and Big Oomp artist Baby D also came together onstage, giving the crowd another powerful moment representing Atlanta’s legendary music history.
Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens closed the moment by thanking the city and celebrating the successful completion of Atlanta’s World Cup hosting experience.
From international soccer to Southern hip-hop, Atlanta showed once again that we don’t just participate in culture—we help create it.
