Zambia surprised me in a way I did not expect. In this travel vlog, I explore Lusaka, visit Chaminuka Lodge and Nature Reserve, go on a safari, see lions and elephants up close, try local food, drink Zambian coffee, and compare life in Zambia to Ecuador, Latin America, and the United States. As an American who usually travels through Ecuador and Latin America, I was shocked by how familiar some parts of Zambia felt while other parts were completely different.
From a beautiful Lutheran church service to feeding lions, walking red dirt roads, seeing monkeys in the trees, eating at a huge steakhouse, and dealing with a drone problem at the airport, this video shows my first real look at Zambia through the eyes of a gringo traveler.
