Summertime is here, which means it’s time to introduce 2026’s new Humboldt penguin chicks to the full penguin colony!
Born in mid-February, these two female chicks are now 4 months old and have spent their last few months in “Penguin Preschool!” This dedicated time behind the scenes helps these new chicks learn “all things penguin” before being introduced to their outdoor habitat, including learning how to be hand-fed from their Animal Care teams, how to ask for food, and how to swim!
