Description
At Yara Sluiskil, carbon capture and storage is helping reduce emissions from existing production — one of the fastest ways to decarbonize industry.
This film shows how CO₂ is captured, compressed, purified, liquefied and stored before being transported by ship to Norway, where it is permanently stored 2.5 km below the seabed in sandstone reservoirs.
The CCS project will reduce emissions from the Sluiskil plant by 25% and demonstrates how industry can take practical, large-scale climate action today.
