Description
In this video, I show you an invisible cello drill to help you stay in your bow lane more consistently.
A stable bow lane is one of the foundations of good tone. If the bow drifts, the sound quickly becomes thinner, harsher, or less focused. This kind of practice helps train the movement pattern before you even return to the string.
In this lesson, you’ll learn:
what the bow lane is
• why players drift out of it
• how to practice the movement away from the cello
• how this drill helps build cleaner contact point control
This lesson is part of Tone Lab, the tone-first system I’m building for adult cello players.
The goal of Tone Lab is simple:
to help you stop guessing and start understanding what actually creates a stable, resonant, beautiful tone on the cello.
If you want better bow control, cleaner contact point, and more reliable tone, you’re in the right place.
