In this Premiere Pro tutorial we cover both fade-out methods so you can pick the right one for the edit. The Constant Gain crossfade is fastest — drop it on the head or tail of the audio clip. For more control, right-click the audio → Show Clip Keyframes → Volume → Level, then Ctrl-click to drop keyframes and shape your own fade curve. Hold Ctrl and click on a keyframe to convert it to a Bezier handle for smooth, cinematic curves.
Works in Premiere Pro 2024 and 2026.
