...Now we can start laying the large paving stones. This is progressing well. The stones are laid in a row bond, offset by a third. The required one-third and two-thirds stones were included and therefore do not need to be cut. We are also using these spacers, which widen the joint by about half a millimeter. This distributes the previously calculated tolerance of one centimeter evenly across the entire row. Concrete paving manufacturers generally recommend not placing the stones too tightly against each other. A slightly larger joint also ensures better filling with jointing material and thus greater stability of the paving surface. We're getting a very good finish at the corner, up to four millimeters. That means we measured carefully and worked cleanly on the edging. The four millimeters can be easily distributed among the rows. To do this, I place the aluminum rail on the row that's positioned correctly and secure it to prevent slipping. The stones can be easily moved along the smooth fleece with a spade. Due to the large paving stones, the area has very few joints. So we're using spacers here again, because the joint pattern doesn't tolerate inaccurate work. The last four rows fit in very well and can continue into the path as planned. Here under the fence, it's more or less a coincidence that we don't have to cut the stones. So far, we haven't had to cut a single one. This creates a solid, professional, and harmonious overall appearance. Four stones need to be cut at the shed door; this can be easily marked with oil pastels. The cuts are quickly completed with the 230 mm diamond cutting disc. The area is now complete and should be swept immediately...
