Today we celebrate #Juneteenth and the evolving liberation of African Americans in the U.S. Although Juneteenth wasn’t signed into law as a federal holiday until 2021, this day honors the emancipation of slaves in the U.S. in 1865.
At March of Dimes, we recognize Juneteenth and the continued perseverance in the ongoing fight for every family against systemic racism and disparities in maternal and infant healthcare.
