Sample Scout is a sample browser that lets me audition huge sample libraries fast, build sets of sounds, then export them to the exact sample rate, bit depth and mono/stereo my vintage samplers need. Check it out here: https://samplescout.app
Same tool drags straight into modern DAWs and drum racks, so it's how I prep sounds for 40-year-old hardware and current sessions from one place.
In the video I used it to assemble samples which I in turn transferred to my Akai S1000 whith the help of my very old Sample Wrench program.
I get a gazillion requests to do videos from manufacturers and developers. Some asks me to do it for free, some are willing to pay.
When programs come along I genuinely find useful in my workflow I might do a video. That was the case here. I've come across many file browser programs in my days, but I feel this is a great one. Fast and easy and with that export-function it quickly became very relevant to what I do, hence the video.
