Hi SPO Community!
I'm Beks. I'm joining Bob, Hope, and the rest of the Sewing Parts Online family to show you how incredible and exciting sewing is!
I love to make things, remake things, and learn!
My love of sewing began watching my Grandmother make her quilts and American Girl Doll clothing. She taught me everything I know at "Grandma Camp" in 2011, a curriculum she put together to entertain me while I stayed with them over the summer.
She taught me that creativity can be skillful and pragmatic.
I'm still working on the skillful and pragmatic part... But the passion she instilled in me to handcraft continues to burn bright!
Social media had a big hand in motivating me to get back in the proverbial "sewing saddle" in 2020. Seeing folks use our forced free time to hone their crafts inspired me, and those people became a source of much-needed community. I'm grateful for that online community, and I am thrilled to expand that here with you all!
I can't wait to get to know you all, gush over our shared love for sewing, and learn a little from each other :)
