Description
Forty years in kabaddi.
And Yogesh Devendra Yadav says he is still learning.
Having spent decades in the sporting world, first as a player and now as a coach, Yogesh looks back and feels there are things he understands today that he wishes he had known during his own playing years.
That learning now benefits the next generation.
As a coach, Yogesh works with both boys and girls and shares what he has learned about everyday nutrition, fitness and staying active with his players.
His philosophy towards life is equally clear.
We may not control how much time we have, but Yogesh believes we can decide how we live it. For him, that means staying fit, fresh and energetic, continuing to challenge himself and using that energy to help others.
Being part of the community has also strengthened him as a coach. Yogesh says he is more willing to accept challenges and, importantly, demonstrate through his own actions what he asks of others.
After 40 years in sport, his journey is still about becoming better and helping others do the same.
