The famous Grillo-Theater is one of the oldest theaters in the Ruhr region of Germany. It is located in the city center and has its origins in the Stadttheater, which opened in 1892 and was donated by Wilhelmine Grillo, widow of the entrepreneur Friedrich Grillo. In addition to the large and more traditional theater stage of the Grillo-Theater, there is also a smaller, ultra-flexible stage for experimental productions called ADA. The audio team works with a STAGETEC AURUS desk for the mixing tasks on the Grillo's large main stage. A compact AVATUS console was chosen for the ADA stage, the right choice as a mixing solution, because the team must always be able to adapt to the room conditions and the space is extremely limited. STAGETEC NEXUS forms a solid network solution in the background for all audio and video workflows. Plus the current STAGETEC system offers easy access to complex routings and more, even for the most demanding audio and video technician tasks.
