GoldenEye 007 | What Rare Hid in Places You Never Looked

Goose's Gamer Folklore Guide 13 days ago

Description

GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64 is home to secrets that stretch far beyond its twenty missions. Join me, as we use the Moonjump GameShark code, a tool that grants vertical movement through the game's hidden geometry to ponder forgotten textures, inaccessible rooms, and unusual spaces Rare's developers put into the game, but didn't really mean for you to see. At least, not this closely...

These are corners of GoldenEye 007 that no standard playthrough can ever reach, geometries rendered but never passed through, platforms built but never populated. In the Aztec level alone, two extraordinary things await discovery... hidden graffiti placed where no player was ever meant to look, and a mysterious platform hovering near the famous space shuttle that raises more questions than it answers.
