On “My Car Story” we're in the West Suburbs of Chicago, IL on 6-22-26.
We're looking at a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T in R6 Red paint. The car comes with the 426 Hemi CI V8 engine and a 4 Speed manual transmission.
The car's Owner is Bob Dyrda. Bob’s had this car since 1987. Bob shares he was looking for a muscle car in High School in 1975 and saw the movie “Bullett”. He knew he wanted a Dodge Charger, however he liked the tail light and front better on the 1969. So he started saving his money and in 1987 he started to get ready for the search, his girlfriend (who later became his wife) said, “Well you better buy that Charger now before we get married and life gets in the way.” Now that’s an awesome woman! So he put an ad in Hemmings that he was looking and this car came to his attention. After a 2 year restoration, this car looks great and his focus paid off with the right car for him.
