On “My Car Story” we're in the West Suburbs of Chicago, IL on 10-8-26.
We're looking at a 1957 Chevrolet BelAir Nomad & 1958 Herter’s Flying Fish in Tropical Turquoise Paint. The car comes with the 283 CI V8 engine and an automatic transmission.
The car's Owner is Steve Reuter. Steve’s had this car since 2024. Steve shares the boat was purchased new by his Father-In-Law and after a few years of use, the boat was put away. In 2018 he decided to restore the boat and a friend had a 1957 Chevrolet Belair and would tow the boat to a few car shows. Finally he thought, I need a 1957 Chevrolet Nomad as the “Family Car” to take to the lake and tow the boat with. Found and restored this car and has been winning car shows since 2025. This car and boat looks like they just came off the dealer showroom floors.
