In this review, we played FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE on PS5 to see what makes this JRPG tick. From its story and nostalgic soundtrack to its Break System and extensive Vision progression, there's plenty here for fans of traditional turn-based RPGs.
We also look at how the Vision system lets you mix and match abilities from familiar Final Fantasy heroes, the role of Espers in combat, and the rewards waiting for players who explore beyond the main story. However, not everything is perfect, as repetitive grinding and dialogue choices with limited consequences hold the experience back in a few areas.
