OVERVIEW
This episode of Locked On Fantasy Basketball breaks down the key fantasy basketball waiver wire adds and drops following a wave of NBA injuries. I go through priority pickups, analyze droppable high-rostered players, and spotlight hot streaks and deeper watchlist options to help managers respond smartly to early-season volatility and shifting roles.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Andrew Nembhard is a must-add if available, given Tyrese Haliburton's hamstring injury has opened up more minutes and playmaking for him.
Ayo Dosunmu’s value will rise with increased minutes and usage; he should be rostered everywhere if available, especially after recent Minnesota injury troubles.
Ja'Kobe Walter, Pelle Larsson, and Jay Huff are key waiver adds right now due to expanded roles from recent teammate absences or outperforming expectations.
Players like Saddiq Bey, Dillon Brooks, and Jaylen Wells are droppable in standard leagues if you need to stream for upside or volume—their current production and outlook don't justify holding through dry stretches.
Mo Bamba is an interesting short-term add if Jackson Hayes remains out but less appealing once Hayes returns; keep an eye on Memphis frontcourt rotations for similar conditional value.
Paul Reed and Ace Bailey qualify as near must-roster players in most competitive leagues due to injury-driven usage increases.
Don’t overreact to one bad game when dropping players; understanding context and role changes is key to making good decisions on the wire.
Watchlist deeper names like Jaylin Williams, Allen Graves, Bennett Stirtz, Quenton Jackson, and especially Meleek Thomas for speculative upside in deep and dynasty formats.
