OVERVIEW
This episode of Locked On Fantasy Basketball brings a detailed fantasy basketball analysis of a loaded 12-game NBA slate, with rapid-fire recaps, injury fallout, and actionable add/drop advice. I break down key player performances, role changes, and roster shakeups so fantasy managers know exactly where to react and which trends to ignore across category and points leagues.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Tyrese Haliburton's latest injury means Andrew Nembhard becomes a must-add for at least the next two weeks; Nembhard’s playmaking and usage jump significantly with Haliburton out.
Kristaps Porzingis’ continued absence leaves his fantasy value in limbo; I don’t see him holding relevance unless a trade changes his situation.
Kingston Flemings closed over CJ McCollum in Atlanta—while eye-opening, it’s not an auto-add yet. Wait for consistent role clarity before burning a move.
Jalen Johnson’s stat profile remains outstanding even when scoring efficiency dips. Continue to value him near his current ranking, especially with defensive stats up.
Several so-called breakouts (like AJ Dybantsa) look overhyped due to unsustainable shooting or limited periphery stats. Avoid chasing performances driven solely by hot shooting nights.
Jakob Poeltl and Rudy Gobert are looking washed and droppable in most formats given their loss of minutes and production; both have alarming stat and role declines.
Massive sell-high window on Ajay Mitchell after a blow-up game driven by unsustainable usage and shooting in Oklahoma City’s depleted lineup—don’t expect elite production when regulars return.
Hold firm on struggling talents like LaMelo Ball and Josh Giddey—long-term upside far outweighs current poor form, especially with recent history and context suggesting bounce-back potential.
