Description
Are these tweeters a total scam or just cheap engineering? 🛠️ In today's video, we are taking a close look at the PHILIPS LSB 400 – a classic pair of 80s vintage budget bass reflex bookshelf speakers. When I first tested them, the tweeters felt like a solid piece of hard plastic and produced absolutely no sound!
Watch the full teardown and sound test as I investigate this mystery. I will physically remove the suspicious tweeter from the cabinet to find out if Philips really used a fake plastic dummy to trick buyers, or if it is just an ultra-cheap piezo component that died after decades of use.
Let me know in the comments: Have you ever found a fake or completely dead component in your vintage audio gear? 👇
