Compression is one of the most commonly mentioned signal processors that we hear people discuss and it is widely misunderstood by musicians. In this video I provide some practical use cases for compression and some alternatives that can be used in place of compression, especially when using Samplers such as the Akai MPC, Native Instruments Maschine and EMU SP-1200. This video is answering a number of questions direct from the community.
